Pray Like This – Our Daily Prayer

I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:4-9

Ever wondered how to get started in prayer with the Lord? Ever thought, “I am not sure what to say?” These questions are positively amazing statements that should be recognized as nothing more than great expectations and humbled fear for the Lord. We far too often want to have it perfect and start our walk or prayer life a seasoned veteran. It is necessary to humble ourselves before the Lord and realize He just wants a relationship with us. We must see ourselves as He sees us; nothing more than His precious child. You wouldn’t get mad at a little one talking to you in innocence; neither does our Father. Life in Christ is a journey and a process of endurance. Placing God first everyday can at times be challenging but rest assure He knows this and loves nothing more than to see His children fighting for time with Him. I challenge you to pray everyday starting with this prayer and watch where the Father takes you. Just as Yeshua said

“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray then like this:

“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
